A trapped flower becomes a gentle reminder about caring for the earth
What a beautiful day! Daisy greets the morning sun, the bee, the cloud, and the wind. All is sweet and cheerful and as it should be … until the little flower notices something heading straight towards her. Suddenly, she is immersed in total darkness. Could it be nighttime already? Daisy is all alone in the dark, afraid and confused.
The mystery is solved when readers see two children lifting away a paper cup, which was littered on the ground, trapping Daisy beneath it. As quickly as it came, the darkness is gone! Daisy greets the light and the children with joy.
Filled with charming illustrations in vibrant colors, this board book is a gentle, positive way to introduce the idea of respecting our environment. With a light and playful touch, it also encourages taking responsibility in small, simple ways such as picking up our trash.
